Kinahoi -  Founder of Never Fold Collective

Kina grew up in one of Australia’s poorest suburbs where times were tough and the struggle was real. Kina often turned to the streets to survive, running with the wrong crowds, using drugs and getting in trouble with the law which led to juvie and jail time. Upon release and facing more trauma and some tragedies, Kina rose above the odds, overcame addiction and started to create a better life for him and those around him.

Through better friendships and associations, and being strong enough to make better decisions, his result has been one of success. The positivity that he now has, he channels to help and inspire others, with the hope of creating change.

Casey - Founder of Never Fold Collective

Casey shares the traumatic loss of her Mother to manslaughter and the difficult journey that followed. At the time, Casey’s story of forgiveness for the person responsible for manslaughter was broadcasted across magazines and the news. Casey believed for years she was okay, but eventually discovered that was far from the truth. Casey experienced burnout, battled with suicide ideation, depression, chronic anxiety and being diagnosed with CPTSD.

Casey educates about the concept of using ‘band aids’ to superficially cover up our wounds and the difficult healing journey that occurs when those band aids are ripped off. Her story discusses self-compassion, self-forgiveness and understanding the complexities of living with trauma.

Now the founder of Never Fold Collective, a qualified clinical counsellor and creator of multiple programs the organisation uses to help others. Casey shares her story to provide hope and education on how to redesign your mind, freeing yourself from labels, moving out of a victim mindset and empowering yourself through proactive actions.
